Looking at the pile of envelopes from Rejane’s mother, I was intrigued by the solid, simple forms they created – a structure comprised of small sacred spaces where the intimacies of a precious relationship were enshrined.

To whom it may concern… presents Rejane, the recipient, within the fragile structure of the window envelope, revealing, through a series of video stills, the emotional highs and lows she experienced as she worked through the contents of the letters and the memories they evoked. The video stills are taken from my documentary film ‘Raw’ – an interview with Rejane about her experiences of opening the letters and confronting the past.
