My multidisciplinary art practice explores belief and value systems through the interplay of word and image, using a range of different media including installation, drawing, video, sound, digital print-making and sculpture. I am particularly interested in the intersection of contemporary art and theology, and enjoy responding to the people and place of each project.
An integral part of my practice is to inspire and enable people to discover and develop their unique creative potential. This involves creative mentoring and running workshops and retreats which have been funded from a range of organisations including Arts Council England; the University of Creative Arts; the RC Sherriff’s Trust; the Archbishops’ Council, Church of England; and various borough councils and business groups.
I have worked extensively in the creative arts throughout my career, with my works exhibited and performed in the UK and abroad. I hold a First Class BA Honours Degree in Fine Art, and have been awarded an MA with distinction in Theology, Imagination and Culture which was kindly funded by the Sarum St Michael trust. I am currently doing a PhD exploring contemporary art practice and theology within an inter-religious context.
