Thresholds: Pulse

A threshold speaks of entering and leaving behind, of the old and the new. Pulse reflects on the rhythm and passing of time, evoked by the sound of the historic pendulum clock concealed in the Tudor Bell Tower at St George’s. It creates a portal that not only reveals fractured glimpses of hidden moments within and beyond the church walls, but also suggests a sense of waiting and anticipation for the future. The video was projected onto the pulpit, bringing this ancient heartbeat into the centre of the church, where everyone could experience its mesmeric, repetitive power.
