Unexpected Directions
Category : Journal
Over the last few years my art practice has developed in unexpected ways. Firstly, my deep interest in the intersections of contemporary art and spirituality, alongside my experiences of doing art residencies in churches, led me to investigate the area of theology, the imagination and culture through a master’s degree. This challenging and eye-opening period of focussed research has in turn fuelled a desire to create artwork which is part of, and constructively contributes to, interfaith relationships. As part of this new departure, I am doing a PhD using art practice and practical theology in an inter-religious context.
